ARBITRATION ACT 1940

The provisions of this Part are founded on the following principles, and shall be construed accordingly:


(a) The object of arbitration is to obtain the fair resolution of disputes by an impartial tribunal without unnecessary delay or expense.


(b) The parties should be free to agree how their disputes are resolved, subject only to such safeguards as are necessary in the public interest.


(c) In matters governed by this part the court should not intervene except as provided by this Part.

CONSTITUTION OF ISLAMIC REPUBLIC PAKISTAN

Pakistan shall be Federal Republic to be known as the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, hereinafter referred to as Pakistan.

(1) The territories of Pakistan shall comprise :-
 (a) the provinces of Balochistan, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Punjab and the Sindh.
(b) The Islamabad Capital territory, here in after referred to as the Federal Capital.
(c) The federally administered tribal areas
(d) Such States and territories as are or may be included in Pakistan, whether by accession or otherwise.
(2) Majlis-e-Shoora (Parliament) may by law admit into the federation new States or areas on such terms and conditions as it thinks fit.

CONTEMPT OF COURT ORDINANCE

CONTRACT ACT, 1872

This Act may be called the Contact Act, 1872

It extends to [the whole of Pakistan] and it shall come into force on the first day of September, 1872. Extent, commencement, enactments repealed. Nothing herein contained shall affect the provisions of any statute, Act or Regulation not hereby expressly repealed, nor any usage or custom of trade, nor any incident of any contract not inconsistent with the provisions of this Act.

DESIGN ORDIANCE 2000

FOREIGN EXCHANGE REGULATION Act, 1947

Foreign Exchange Policy and its operations in Pakistan are formulated and regulated in accordance with the provisions of the Foreign Exchange Regulation Act, 1947. MANUAL OF ELECTION LAWS

1. The Chief Election Commissioner shall hold and conduct election to the office of President, and shall be the returning officer for such elections.

2. The Chief Election Commissioner shall appoint Presiding Officers to preside at the meeting of the members of Majlis-e-Shoora (Parliament) and at the meetings of the members of the Provincial Assemblies.

3. The Chief Election Commissioner shall by public notification fix the time and place for depositing nomination papers, holding a scrutiny, making withdrawals, if any, and holding the poll, if necessary.
